We are a curious, creative, close-knit, hard-working, fun-loving bunch. We have over a hundred years' collective experience in the arts. We are all passionate about people’s experience at work, about delivering meaningful, rich, top-quality programmes, workshops and results for our clients. We are united in our mission to be the most creative engagement partner an organisation can work with, and we are proud to be bound by our four core principles which give us the strength to deliver excellence in all we do:
All this creativity and art is wonderful. But if it is not in service of delivering business solutions, client needs, programme targets and workshop aims then it doesn’t get a look-in. Very special people are able to enrich commerce with creativity; use the arts to inform business; approach organisational change through culture and engage people with each other, their Leadership and their business by using music, craft, improvisation, sculpture, stories, performance and humour. We are demanding. Purple Monsters have to be Business Aware.
Purple Monster people excel in their area of expertise. That could mean Alana drawing a cartoon for a caption competition, Robin translating an IS methodology into the Theatre of Change or Alan lifting the mood of the moment by telling a story which captures the collective imagination. Whatever our jobs are, we ask each other to bring our whole selves to work, so we can bring the best of each other out to play, for the benefit of everyone we work with.
Purple Monster people ‘get’ why we do things the way we do – and believe in it totally. It's about staying true to Purple Monster ethos: relentless inclusion; taking calculated risk; having fun and helping people to make connections. We believe that everything we do has purpose. We are deeply loyal, so we demand commitment and quality from all Purple Monsters.
We all work hard. We all have families. Balance is hard to maintain, but our founder and CEO still tells everyone in the organisation “Family First...” in a broad Yorkshire accent. We like that. Family Fit is also the way we treat each other: with respect, honesty, understanding, empathy. We’re demanding and exacting with each other, we have the chemistry of a family, and the security to be able to challenge eachother, let off steam together, laugh and cry, and push each other to be our very best, on behalf of all our clients.
