A TRUE STORY

During a leadership development programme we asked the group, what they as a relatively new team were most proud of, what they had acheived to date.  They responded ......

"Yeah, we hit ten million."

"Did you celebrate?"

"No, it was really hard work, really tough.  We were all exhausted."

"Well at least give yourselves a round of applause, now. Ten million? That's extraordinary - go on give yourselves a clap!"

[Sound of rapturous applause, cheering...]

and afterwards:

"We all felt much better after we'd celebrated what we'd achieved"

We are traditionally not very good at celebrating our achievements in this country. At Purple Monster, we want people to feel good about the work they do and as one of the best motivators around is recognition, we say "Celebrate! And do it well".  Make it relevant, appropriate, fun, memorable and an opportunity to build relationships, deepen connections or leave a lasting legacy. Whether that be in your company, for employees, their families or for your local community.  We have created sculptures that sit in head offices, art work that adorns offices, videos that live on USB drives,  radio shows that reach people in far flung environs and songs that are sung at social events to help people celebrate and remember what amazing things they have achieved.
