Ernst & Young - Time Out for the business journey

Following establishment of the new Business Advisory Services (BAS) arm of Ernst and Young UK, Purple Monster were invited to become a part of the engagement process in the establishment and embedding of the four key operating principles for BAS.

Through fully interactive sessions that explored the strength of the team, the direction of the business and the way which people are with each other Purple Monster designed a series of highly interactive and entertaining off-site conferences that have been integral to the development of BAS over two years and have seen the business grow from 40 people to a group currently over 300 strong. Purple Monster worked closely with the Managing Partner and subsequently senior partners to create a series of engaging and challenging learning events.

Timeout 1        The start of the journey - Storytelling as a cultural tool was a key element in the launch of this new business. Using The Hero’s Journey as a model Purple Monster facilitated and designed a one day event which focussed on relationship building, innovation and the strategy to come

Timeout 2        The voyage of discovery – rigorous debate and the ability to defy a consensus was the theme to this two day event which utilised Purple Monster’s musical and creative skills fully in the design and delivery of an outdoor team challenge, set in and around Brighton.

Timeout 3        Back to school – sited at a Cambridge University college hall, this evening and day event was designed to go back to school to refresh how far the business had come in the short term and what steps were essential in the future.

Timeout 4         sustaining the momentum so far and what will be the ‘touch points’ in the future was the focus of this off site event. Designed around a Center Parcs venue, this large scale event included skills and capability work and team building alongside a learning topic of global environmental markets.
