Global Marketing Summit for an FMCG organisation

SITUATION

  • The Global Marketing community in an FMCG organisation were looking to hold an event for their top 200 Marketing leaders
  • As the group is geographically widespread, there was a need to create stronger connection, knowledge sharing and best practice across the regions and brands
  • The function had recently appointed a new Chief Marketing Officer, who wanted to begin his leadership with an impactful event that cemented Marketing’s future priorities and direction
  • The leadership group were responsible for disseminating the information from the Summit to their teams globally, with each region creating a strategy and engagement plan

 

INTERVENTIONS

  • Worked with the overall project team, sitting on weekly design calls to ensure clear scope and aligned overall direction
  • Partnered with the owners of each session, providing insight and encouraging engagement and interactivity throughout
  • Co-designed and implemented a pre-engagement plan with both the Communications and IS teams, including Yammer and email engagement as well as virtual and face-to-face meetings in small “Hotspot” groups
  • Oversaw the Event Experience design and delivery, ensuring a clear delegate journey
  • Provided energisers and interventions where necessary, including overall MC of conference, introductions and warm-ups, awards night presentations and an improvised musical finish!
